Would you like to travel the world while supporting your travel expenses by jumping from job to job?

This is one of the great ways to travel the world without draining your bank accounts. Backpacking has never been practical, but it can be done for little to no expense because a lot of people are willing to give temporary jobs for travelers in exchange for free food and accommodation.

Another way is to use the Internet and do freelance online related jobs and earn money electronically. It may seem impossible to some but the possibilities are almost endless due to the advancements of technology in communications and travel.

The traditional approach of earning money on the trail is finding jobs in hostels. You can also find job listings where work is offered at farms and ranches. Common backpacking destinations, places like in Europe, New Zealand, and Australia, have plenty of temporary job offers. Travelers can take advantage of these if they want to save while traveling.

The Internet now has job listings in every location. It is better to bring an Internet-ready device, such as a laptop, smart phone, and other gadgets when taking trips because you can browse for information and find temporary work.

Work is usually menial, every day chores on farms, ranches, and even ordinary homes. Some websites may even offer jobs at small businesses as janitors, bartenders, or waiters. The offers vary from the very basic to highly specialized. It is better if you have special skills, like in technology, performing arts, entertainment, and crafts. In your travels, you’ll never know when and where you can use it to your advantage.

With the aide of Internet, you can also find clients for your special skills. Freelancing is easy and lucrative work. If you have special abilities in writing, website optimization, or just any kind of technological skill, you can offer your services online. Plenty of websites have great systems in finding clients and service providers. Get listed in sites like Odesk, Elance, and CraigsList.

You can go anywhere and let the world be your office. If you need an Internet connection, you can just go to areas that have connectivity. Payment is usually done instantly by electronic means; it couldn’t be more convenient. Once an assignment is over, you can just find another one, or you can even have multiple assignments as long as you can manage.

Temporary jobs and freelance work are good ways to earn a fast buck when in foreign countries. Sure it may take a little of your vacation time but with the proper mindset and attitude, you can make any task a fun experience. It will not impede your enjoyment and exploration; but rather help further it.

Some people own websites and earn income passively from it. Money is generated through rented ad space, affiliate marketing, products selling or all three. However, this takes a bit more learning time and effort. As a resourceful traveler, you can juggle the given techniques and soon you will realize that traveling will not blow away all your money. In fact, you can earn lots from it.

Are you certified to work as a nurse? Do you want to travel the world while practicing your profession?

The global demands of certified health care professional nowadays are great, are nurses are needed everywhere. In many cities all over the world, there are serious staffing problems. Skilled health care professionals are scarce in some localities while some countries are overflowing with such professional workers.

This crisis has brought new job opportunities for nurses. Medical institutions such as hospitals, clinics, and research facilities are willing to hire short-term employees to cater to the medical demands of the populace. Thus, nurses can now travel and work all over the world moving from one contract to the next. It is a great opportunity to improve your nursing skills and enhance your qualifications.

Some cities may hire based on seasonal needs. The population in such places surges during certain times of the year and the ordinary number of skilled professionals is not enough to handle all of the medical situations that might come up. So they have to hire temporary workers.

If you are qualified to work as a nurse, take advantage of this opportunity. Try finding an agency that can provide you with varied assignments. Most will require at least a year of practical experience as well as a local license, which you can obtain through these agencies.

The Internet is great source of information about travel agencies and the most reputable ones always have professional websites and prompt support staff. To avoid being scammed, always try the largest and the most long-standing agencies in the industry. These are more likely to be legit and trustworthy.

When you want to try some less known agencies, be sure to examine them closely and do not just give away personal information. Never pay upfront fees and try to get recommendations of people you know who have already worked as travel nurses.

The next thing you should do is prepare an updated resume that highlights all your relevant skills. In your cover letter, state your willingness and enthusiasm to work in different places.

Every assignment has varying compensations and benefits. Before jumping into an assignment, make it a point to assess the work environment, demands, and hours. You should also examine the housing plans, the distance from your housing to the workplace, and benefits such as 401K. Some jobs pay less but demands less effort and hours. Others may seem too good to be true but the work pressure could be intense.

Sometimes, you will never really know until you get there yourself. There is really a sense of adventure when it comes to travel nursing. You can enhance your qualifications and credentials with travel nursing experience. You can work as a travel nurse as long as you want and eventually, when you want to settle in a full time nursing job, your insights and experience can help you choose where to work.

To conclude, travel nursing is a great opportunity for young nursing professionals and for veterans in the industry who want a lifestyle change.

When deciding that you are going to travel to see the many different beautiful landscapes of Europe, the mode of transportation will significantly impact your experience. Ever since the European Union formed, it has made traveling between different countries much more affordable. So whether you are on a romantic honeymoon with your fiancée, on a family vacation or just as a student back packing around, transportation does not have to put a dent in your wallet.

Taking the train through the various country sides is a pleasurable experience. Many different people of diverse economic statuses that you encounter along the way also prefer to travel by train. The appeal of visiting destinations that are completely culturally different from your home are the people that you encounter and the conversations you have along the way. You will find many different types of rail passes for your journey across Europe that will be affected by how many destinations you’d like to visit and the amount of people you travel with. The fares also take into consideration how many days you would like to travel for. Traveling by train can be more appropriate for individuals under the age of 26 because your Eurail Youth Pass will be for a discounted amount of Euros.

While you will not be able to simply look out the window and admire the various views of Europe, traveling by train at night will be considerably cheaper. When you travel at night, you will find that they have sleeper car accommodations. In these sleeper cars, there are bunks for you to energize in preparation of your day of sightseeing. The sleeper cars are not private, but the plus side is that you will not lose a day traveling and will be able to spend more time sight seeing. Taking the train will also deliver you and the people you are traveling with directly into the center of most cities. You will rarely find yourself in obscure destinations feeling lost and disoriented while trying to make your way back to the destination you actually want to end up in.

Most travelers will choose to travel by train; however what you sacrifice in comfort by taking coach, you will save in expenses. You can travel between many European cities by coach, since many companies will have organized coach routes. Taking coach will most likely be more appealing to students who are looking to save money on their trip. Coach also is more appropriate when your destination is not one of the major European cities, but a smaller town or land mark. Many times once you arrive by train, you will need to find another mode of transportation to get to the smaller location. Coaches will more likely deliver you directly. A few companies will also offer combinations of coach/train packages that ultimately will get you to both the larger and smaller destinations and will provide a cheaper rate altogether.

In the end, it comes down to price and comfort that will affect your decision of whether to go train or coach.

So you are a passionate traveler and you have an adventurous spirit. Have you ever thought about being a travel writer or about writing the story of your escapades in different places? You’d be surprised by the money you can make.

It is very easy to write about something you thoroughly enjoy. Its easy to write about your travels, just describe what you see. The majesty of nature, your feelings of amazement, and the beauty of the world!

One tip I can give aspiring travel writers is to learn how to write concisely No matter what your intended market is, you must be skilled in the art of short an informative writing.

Most likely, just writing off the top of your head and then rereading and editing your post will surely result in a literary product that is interesting and engaging. With your great passion, the readers may feel they are right there with you.

So, how can you make money out of it, you ask. Here’s how.

1. Become a Travel Writer On Your Own Blog

Build a website or use a free blog site to begin with. The content of your site will be, of course, about your travels and adventures. Lots of people find travel adventures very appealing and some even use it as an escape from their day to day lives.

If your content is great, using a few optimizations, link building sites, and SEO tricks, you will rank high in the search engine ranking and gain audience members. People will flock to your site and some may become regular readers if you update often enough with interesting posts.

You can gain money from this through advertisements placed in your site. Advertisement systems such as AdSense from Google, Chitika, and others are a great way to get pre made ads for your blog. Or you can be an affiliate marketer for products and services relevant to your content. All of this creates passive streams of income.

2. Write About Your Travels On Other People’s Blogs

If you don’t want the complexities of building your own site, you can write for other people’s site.

Some people are just too busy or too lazy to put articles on their sites so they will happily pay other people, like you, to create articles for them. Short articles, ranging from 450 to 700 words, are sufficient. If they like you enough, they will regularly ask you to make create more content.

3. Sell Your Travel Writing Stories To Magazines and Newspapers

Newspaper work is quite risky because payment is not assured, that being said, it is a good way to earn extra money.

Have a list of magazines, newspapers, or any other kind of reading material that may need content for their publication Your articles don’t have to just be about traveling they can be about anything you want. Contact them and propose a deal that you will provide articles and stories for a nominal fee.

Of course, these publishing outfits will need some samples or something to substantiate your competence. You can give them samples and if they like it enough, they may just make you an offer you can’t refuse.

Summer Tourism: School is Back In Session for Travel Agencies

Hold on to your hammock: school is out, and Americans will be taking more than 325 million vacations in June, July and August. About 65 million of them were researched or booked on-line.

If that is not enough to suggest on-line opportunity for travel agencies, consider this:

The on-line travel market is estimated at $60 billion and growing fast;
On-line bookings average $750, versus $400 off-line;
In 2006, for the first time, more trips were booked on-line than by any other method;
The next most-common method, phone booking, plunged 16 percent from 2005, and
Travelers who use the Internet to plan and purchase trips almost always visit multiple sites.

Big players are cashing in. On-line travel agents like Orbitz® and Expedia® continue to thrive, but face competition from two new sources. Travel research sites, or “meta” sites, like Mobissimo®, use customer criteria to search hundreds of sites for the best option. Research-oriented sites include traditional guidebook publishers like Fodor’s® and new on-line-only firms like Realtravel.com®.

Is there room for smaller players? Yes. People shop around when planning travel, no matter how big or beautiful a particular Web site may be: if they can find your site, it appears they will come.

Therefore, a crucial step is boosting search-engine visibility. A savvy search-engine-optimization partner enables the travel agency’s Web site to attract a share of the enormous traffic by:

Creating and refreshing keyword/key phrase content;

Crafting an effective and ethical linking strategy;

Developing site elements search engines reward;

Cleaning up site elements search engines penalize, and

Discovering further enhancements by analyzing site date.

Of course, once the visitors start coming, the travel agency needs a compelling message to keep them there. Most importantly, its Web site must communicate the company’s position in the industry and its unique value, and provide the information its target customers want. The site should be easy to navigate, fast-loading and invite customer communication.

There seems to be little or no slowdown in leisure travel, despite an up-and-down economy and high fuel prices; one can only imagine the growth when conditions improve. But opportunity does not guarantee success in a changing market. The travel industry is quickly reaching the point where the Internet will dominate to the near exclusion of all other selling channels. Companies can take advantage by becoming Web-marketing stars — or retire to the hammock.

The official start of spring is right around the corner, which means the high season of summer travel is not far behind. Is your website ready for that high season traffic?
Prepare for the Summer Travel Season – Give Your Website a Spring Cleanup! is a post from: Fun Traveling

As I sit thinking about “spring cleaning” my house, I realize that it is that time again for e-marketers to start thinking about a “spring cleaning” their websites for the coming high travel season.

Believe it or not the first quarter of 2006 is almost over. Many hoteliers I spoke to had high ambitions for increasing their online reservations this year and have now found themselves at the same place they were at the start of the year. It’s time to take a hard look at your website and online marketing campaigns and evaluate if they have met your expectations so far this year?

Now you just can’t blame lack of activity on your site, or the low season, or Google and its algorithms…you have to take responsibility for continually improving and optimizing your website. Ask yourself what have you done this first quarter to improve not only traffic but conversions on your website?

Let’s look at content first. Everyone loves fresh content; search engines love it as well as consumers. When was the last time you updated your website message? Are you providing a reason for customers to return often to your site? Hoteliers with only a Brand site are the worst offenders. Too many brand owners feel once they have filled in their hotel information form, that they can cross that item off the to-do list and wait for the brand to do the rest.

As the season begins to change and travelers begin their summer vacation research, what message can you provide that will make you stand out in this highly competitive season? Have you looked at your competitors sites lately? Like a clothing store, do they have the new “spring fashions” on the rack while you are still showcasing your winter getaway? If you have your own website it is imperative you keep your content fresh.

What else can you do to drive new customers to your site? First, if you are a brand you should know your “friendly url” that has been assigned to you by the Brand. This makes your website address pointing to your brand page a simple address as opposed to typing in a lengthy cryptic URL. As a branded hotel, make sure you have taken advantage of all of the new optimization improvements as mentioned in “Is the Brand helping you with your Internet Strategy, “http://rss.coupleofchicks.com/item.php?id=20

So you have freshened up your content, you have optimized your tags for Google and Yahoo, so now do you just sit around and wait for the summer travel season to hit? No -now you must take action. If you have some interesting vacation programs available or festival season in your area is starting, why not use content syndication to attract more customers to your clean freshly updated site.

Building on your search engine optimization efforts, you might consider focusing some efforts on less traditional forms of advertising to move your message to the masses…the new “word of mouth” – online press releases, articles, RSS Feeds and Blogs. If done correctly, you can move your website content very quickly to the top of the natural search results for the keywords that you are looking to be found for in your market. Remember, the search for the perfect summer vacation is about to begin, will your travel product be found?

Not unlike your own “spring cleaning” take some time this season to clean up the junk, put it on the curb and while you are waiting for trash pick up, go out and get yourself a ‘Spring Website Makeover!”

What does popularity really mean? It could describe a news website because it is one of the most popular websites on the net. But what is it that draws most people to websites?

But did you ever notice when you visit these websites that it is easy to grow tired of them and move on to something informative. Do not get me wrong, these are great entertainment sites I agree.

The most popular websites by far are those that offer the best content. Take a look at Wikipedia. What does it offer. Information. Look at CNN. Information. Content, good quality content is the one and only popularity measuring stick to judge a website.

If you ever have in mind to build a website you must base your concept upon the subject you know really well and then provide the best content possible. That is the secret of the most successful websites.

Everyone wants to learn something. We spend our lives learning. Every day billions of newspapers, thousands of television and radio stations and billions of internet sites are browsed for the latest news from around the world as well as news about hobbies, education, conflicts, where to go and what to do when we get there. Writers tell us how to do this and how to do that. How to get rich. Where to travel. How to stage a party for the kids. How to be a hairdresser. Take away the media and we take away our brains.

What all of the media is doing is supplying us with content. Content is the lifeblood of the information world. Think of that for a moment. If we took the content out of the newspapers the entire publishing field would collapse over night. Would you pay money to buy a daily advertising paper? Would you buy a magazine with nothing but advertising?

Content is what the internet is all about. What do you search for when you browse online? Yes you may look for the latest shoes or the newest golf clubs, but soon you will find yourself searching for information. You may have a vacation in mind. Where will you want to go? What will you want to do when you get there? Where will you stay? How much will it cost?

You just took up the hobby of fishing. Where is the best place to go to find the big ones? What is the best reel to purchase? How can you learn to tie fishing flies? Perhaps you want to build your own fishing rod.

The entire information world relies on one main word and that is content.

Most of us have suffered at the hands of of the mega online travel sites. The good news is: The consumer is waking up. They are now realizing that they can click their way into a vacation from “hell” However, one marketing tool continues to stand out in online travel marketing and that is “Travel Articles” People love to ‘read’ about destinations throughout the world. And we have found when we provide people with links and choices to reliable discount travel providers, we have experienced successful marketing!

Well written information about exotic destinations can help people to make up their minds about when and where they want to travel. If you have been to a destination, write an article, tell readers, why the destination is great, what the pricing is, what they can expect, when is the best time to go, explain the downside, be honest, put emphases on
the upside. Write about what they will see, what they can do, where they can eat and how much money it will cost them.

Your article will repeat the destination location over and over, this is grounds for a great “keyword” foundation for Google and the other Search Engine Gods. Being on the first page of Google for a destination such as “camping in europe” or “cat island bahamas” or “discount travel in ireland” can increase your client data base over night. (examples)

I got started in article writing with http://ezinearticles.com they have over 12,000 authors. Yours truly is one of them. I could not believe the number of hits the web site received when one of my Travel Articles was published on any number of sites. It became clear that since travel was my love and T360 was geared more towards information on: Travel Safety, Travel Health, Terrorist Threat Alerts and US State Department Travel Warnings – we needed some excitement and we felt the need to remain impartial so as not to compromise the Travel Alerts, so we added Travel Articles.

We encourage Travel Agents to submit their articles, free of charge. Check your spelling and leave room for other agents who may want to sell your travel package to their clients. We encourage Outside Travel Agents who want more free travel to also submit articles. If you need help writing your Article, just review the Articles listed at http://www.travel360degrees.com click on “Travel Article Index” There is no right or wrong way, just keep it simple, interesting, honest, in sequential order and check your spelling.

The Search Engine Gods index the travel360degrees travel web site often and our attention to detail in SEO helps our article placement. We look forward to serving the Travel Industry in this impartial way. Submit your Articles to E-mail: travel360degrees@aol.com and watch your business grow.
